Evidence of the crime!

I posted last week about my kids destroying my moms brand new pots of mums. I though I would post pictures of the evidence! It's a good thing they are cute!

I survived my first Primary activity!

Phewwwww! I am in charge of Primary activities at church since my new calling is the second counselor. Today I pulled off my first activity. We had a drive-in movie. The kids were told to start earning loose change around the house or from neighbors. Then they were told to make the most creative car they could out of a box.

The kids got there this morning and the first thing they did was pay their tithing to the Bishop!

Then they made emergency packs to go in their cars which then went home for there backpacks for school.

Then they got to visit the concession stand with the money they earned. Kathy Bruner had so much fun running the register.

Then they got settled in their cars for the movie. They were SO cute!

Dallin was not going to leave with any money left.

After the show was out...

Sophie's only requirement was that her car be purple!

You know what happens at 1 AM?

When you are on drugs from Oral Surgery and now you can't sleep? You go through the house and list all kinds of stuff on eBay. Ha ha!
I listed a ton of stuff at 1 AM. I love eBay. One thing already sold and earlier I sold a laptop that is broken for 280.00 in less than 2 minutes. My favorite to list is old cell phones, Shoes, Box tops from cereal boxes, really anything you can take a picture of. You'd be amazed.
Go through your house and start making a pile. I love it!

If you need anything, here ya go!

Life's Lessons!

About a week ago Megan, my mom and I all went to Costco. My mom bought 2 of these huge pots of mums. She got them all planted and looking nice on her back deck. Not 2 days later we were all over for Sunday family dinner. Henry comes in with mums in his hands. We go outside to see my parents deck covered in mums. Immediately I turn to Sophie and ask who had done this. Of course her response is, "Henry did it."
Henry gets a big lecture from Grandma along with big No No's.
I look in Sophie's hair and notice mums. hmmmmm, wonder how those got there. She finally confesses to her role in the planned crime.
I give the motherly lecture on how Grandma just used her money to buy these and now look.
We get out the brooms and start cleaning it up. I am talking to Sophie about how she is saving for the new barbie movie and what if Grandma just broke it once she bought it.
Sophie replies, "I would be reary mad."
I decide Sophie needs to give Grandma the money that she has saved for the Barbie movie to help replace Grandmas flowers.
"Fine, but I don't know how to drive, and I'm not going."
As I'm trying not to laugh, "that's fine, you don't have to go."
Sophie gave Grandma the money she had in her Minnie Mouse wallet last night. Today Sophie said, "I bet Grandma's gonna buy the Barbie movie with all that money."

I'm really happy...

This is weird but today the kids and I have stayed home sick. I am on pain meds for this tooth and the kids have bad colds. I was playing with the kids, baking cookies, and getting stuff done today. I sat back and thought I am really happy. There are many things that are making it so I shouldn't be like a failed business, huge budget makeover, and wanting to move. Then there is the bad tooth, bad ovaries, and many other pains. But I realized, I really enjoy my kids right now. Sophie is going through a hard stage but Henry has been my little man and is so good. Sam and I are very happy, I am feeling less overwhelmed than usual, I feel organized and prepared more then ever. I really don't know what it is. I watched Henry change and take care of this baby...
(he's going to kill me for these one day...)

This is what it's all about. Watching them become people and enjoying it. It's not always easy to enjoy it but I am grateful I can right now.

Oh sap over. I'm not sure what came over me.

First Day of School!!

After Sophie was sure she had broken her leg, she was able to hop on into the car and venture on to PRE-K. Seriosuly, where has the time gone?

(note the shoe not on)....Heaven help me!

The Fair!!!

FAIR TIME!!!

We did our yearly visit to the Evergreen State Fair. It happens once a year and we like to do it right. You know the family's that get really into it. It started with the kiddy rides.

Henry not sure at first and then decided he loved it. Sophie is all about the rides, she loves them all. Until...she went on the adult roller coaster. Tears! But she recovered quickly and went on the kids roller coaster and the merry go round.

Check out what I won. yup, me. The coolest mom...EVER! We had to push it around in the stroller cause it was so big and heavy. Amanda modeled it for us! It is really fast and really fun. I was soooooo tempted to throw it on eBay since they were going for 140.00, but Henry was in LOVE with it.

Henry just couldn't party any longer and fell asleep on Uncle Andrew.

We won many stuffed animal, went on rides, ate way to much crap and were ready to go when Sophie said she didn't get to ride any horses. As I told her there were no horses to ride, sure enough there was pony rides. I got suckered in. The kids were in HEAVEN. Henry was so serious and cute.
