Live from VEGAS!!!!

Well here we are on the current leg of our wandering travels. We booked 2 nights at circus circus for 20.00 a night. Great deal, right? well it get's better. I was flying in the with the kids and Sam drove from Utah to meet us. He stopped at the hotel to get it all settled and then would pick us up at the airport. Well they could not find our reservation. They made him pay full price for the night.
We get here and the fire alarm is going off as we are putting the kids to bed. We call and call and call and no one ever comes. They finally come 2.5 hours later at 10:30 at night. The next morning I pay a little visit to the manager. Now our bath tub is not working as well. Uhhhh, we have 3 kids.
So Janet, the manager, and I become BFF's. Priceline says they sent over the reservation and circus circus says they didn't. Sooooooo, after an hour with Janet and on the phone with priceline, we get it all straight. Janet feels bad for the mixup and we get free passes to the all you can eat buffet for the day. Kids are IN HEAVEN. Janet also gives us a booklet of passes for games and rides in the adventure dome. No one ever came to fix the tub.
So we go use all the free stuff including the food. When we get back there is a message to call the front desk. We are recieving a full refund for our stay due to the mix up and all the trouble with the room.
So far we have spent 0.00. The kids find a souvenier shop with a clearance
section and proceed to use the change out of their wallets for a monster truck shirt and a key chain. We are heading out now to California...think we will be as lucky?!?!?!??!

Isn't is so frustrating when things go wrong? And it seems that for some of us that happens way too often.

BUT...in this situation, it worked out fabulously! I'm glad that you all had a great time!

My parents used to go to Vegas twice a year and I got to go a couple times. We stayed at Circus Circus. Fun place! Since I was a kid, they would sneak me into the casino and sit me down at a hidden away nickel slot machine. Twice, TWICE I won the jackpot-$100! Of course my parents had to collect it and they kept it... Hmpf! I really want to plan a trip there someday, I've never been there as an adult.

Hope you have a blast in California!
