We are staying with Sam's brother, Caleb, and his wife Melissa. We have no idea what is going to happen with financial aid and it sounds like we will lose unemployment as soon as he starts school. So Sam thinks he has found us free housing.
Caleb's basement is unfinished. It seems to be the trend here. Built HUGE houses and never finish the basement. Sam contacted the owner of the house and said he would finish it for cost, labor free if we could live in it for free as long as we needed.
It will be a blessing for us, but very hard too. No real windows, just window wells. No private entrance or kitchen. It will be fine just challenging long term.
I said I would do what I needed to do to make this all work...remembering the prize at the end. It will be worth it, right?
So construction starts ASAP. I will take before and after of our little space and post soon.

It WILL be so worth it all in the end!
Someone once told me that, "nothing worth having, ever comes easy".
I hope that makes sense! : )
Come visit me when you need to get away. I have lots of windows, and a yard for the kids to play in if they feel like it. You can sit and do nothing.
I do believe it will all work out in the end! Hang in there. Lots of love to you and your beautiful family!
what doesn't kill us makes us stronger right:)
oh all the houses we've lived in. they've all brought us a little closer with the ghetto of them. :)
good luck. be glad sam has mad building skills. i was going to tell you about our 'free' housing. but it's government. in provo. we had concrete tile floors. like in the grocery store. it was awesome.
can't wait for the pictues. i know you'll make it look lovely.
